I have been fortunate enough, earlier this month be inducted into the Bowls Australia Hall of Fame. This has been formerly announced via their website etc. see link below.
I wanted to formerly advise the Bundanoon Bowling Club as this is where I commenced, as an 11-year-old in way back in 1986. My Father, Mick was the catalyst for me taking up the sport. I learned and played at the club, which holds many fond memories for my family, as well as extended family (My Grandfather played, Ken Powers, my Aunt and Uncle, Faye Powers and Brian Garbutt worked and played there also for many years, as well as the many cricket and hockey presentations and/or family events attended there).
There is a Bowls Australia HOF and Awards night on Wednesday 30th October, held at the Mantra on View, Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.
I understand this is very short notice however should you, or anyone from the Bowling Club Committee wish to attend the night I still have a few tickets reserved and the Bowls Australia discount for accommodation at the Mantra, for a double $145 for the Wednesday night.
If you could pass this to the Bowls President or and advise they are free to call me directly on 0427 344 920 should they wish to discuss?
Thanks and regards,
Bundanoon Lions Club held our dinner meeting at the club tonight. We had most of our members attend including partners and were joined by a new member who we inducted into the club and three prospective new members.
Please extend our thanks to Arni and Chester who planned and served our dinner. Everyone was impressed and left well satisfied. We are very grateful to Peter Cowling and Arni and to you for opening the club for our use. We generally hold a dinner meeting once a month (December and January excepted) and I will put it to our next general business meeting, that we continue to hold them at the Club. The evening flowed very smoothly and we were grateful to the club staff that ensured that this happened.
Once again, thank you very much.
On behalf of Harry Hull- President Bundanoon Lions
